Mori Ôgai Memorial Site

Holdings and usage

The Ôgai collection comprises about 2,000 monographs and journal issues as well as numerous scientific articles, newspaper articles and archival documents by and about Mori Ôgai. All of Mori's writings are available in the Japanese original and - if available - in Western translation. The collection also provides research contributions on his work and on the context of European-Japanese relations.

There are 3 reading places available for the use of literature on site.

The collection can only be used on site during the opening hours of the memorial. The entrance is free of charge. The regulations of the University Library apply to the use of Mori Ôgai collection.

There are coat hooks in the corridor of the memorial.

Copying Facilities/Internet Access

WLAN and copying facilities are available.

Literature Search & Catalogues

The Ôgai collection is partly recorded online and can be searched via the Primus Gateway. For holdings that are not yet listed there, a local catalogue can be used on site.

Accessibility

Access to the Mori Ogai Memorial is not barrier-free. It is located on the 1st floor of a residential building and can only be reached via stairs. There is no elevator or automatic door available.

There are no parking spots.

Cloakroom and toilets are not barrier-free.

There are no barrier-free workstations.
