Information about the Holdings

The collection is broad in scope and oriented towards the research and teaching priorities of the university department. Our stocks contain both current and historic German and international research literature on topics such as: Media Theory and Methodology, Media Archeology, Media History, Media effects, Computer-based Communication, Theory and History of Film, secondary literature on computer and video games, comics and much else.

Beyond traditional print media, subject-related information is increasingly provided in digital form, such as e-books, e-journals, databases and Open Access publications. These can be used by students and staff of HU via VPN from any location.

For further information see Subject-specific holdings in Cultural and Media Studies.
