Information about the Holdings

The library extensively collects literature on all areas related to the study of the Asian countries, namely history, culture, languages, regional studies, and politics. This literature is acquired in European as well as in Asian languages.

The collection can be found at the Branch Library for Asian and African Studies. However, the holdings on Japanese studies are located at the Japanese Studies Library on Johannisstraße 10.

The library’s acquisition policy gives special consideration to the main research and teaching interests of the Institute for Asian and African Studies.
