The Jacob-und-Wilhelm-Grimm-Zentrum offers recent and historical, as well as national and international literature relating to the main areas of study at the Institute for Educational Science: General Educational Science, Adult Education, Methodology, Elementary Education, Historical Educational Research, Pedagogical Psychology / Health Psychology, Systematic Didactics / Classroom Research, Comparative Educational Science, and Economical Pedagogy.

Digitised forms like e-books, e-journals, and databases as well as Open Educational Resources (OER) are provided online for registered patrons of the library within the IP area of Humboldt Universität zu Berlin. HU students and staff can also access e-resources off campus via VPN.
