Monographs and periodicals dealing with Media Studies are shelved in the Jacob-und-Wilhelm-Grimm-Zentrum systematically according to the Regensburg Classification Scheme. Call numbers start with the letter combination AP. You can find them at the following locations:

Textbook collection (EG, Area A): The collection contains multiple copies of basic introductory works and textbooks. These books can be borrowed by students of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.

Magazine Rack (1. OG): Here, the unbound current journal issues are being displayed. Journals can generally not be borrowed, many of them are however available online.

Bound journals (2. OG, Area B): Here you can find the bound journal volumes from previous years. Call Numbers for Media Studies start with AP. Journals can generally not be borrowed. Partly, journals are even available online; in fact, by now, many of them are accessible online only.

Books on Media Studies (2. OG, Area A): The book stock contains monographs, collective volumes and bibliographies. These holdings are shelved thematically according to the Regensburg Classification Scheme (RVK), starting with the call number AP. An overview of that classification system and its particular subdivisions can be found on the website of the Regensburg Classification Scheme. If there are no special markings (for example a yellow non-lending label) on the books, they can be borrowed.

Books in the field of Computer Science (5. OG, Area A): Literature on more technical aspects of Information and Computer Science (like Semantic Web, Data Mining, Linked Data etc) can be found in the subject area of Computer Science on the fifth floor (5. OG).These books can also be borrowed. Call numbers start with SQ-SU.
