Subject Holdings in the Branch Library "Campus Nord"

When looking for current research literature and original language works in English and American Studies, the first place to turn to is the Campus Nord Branch Library. Monographs and periodical stocks are shelved here systematically according to the Regensburg Classification Scheme (RVK) as well as a further special application, the so-called HX classification scheme. Call numbers start with the letter combinations HC-HV or HX 1-HX 3, respectively. You will find them at the following locations:
 

Books on English and American Studies:
On the second floor (2. OG) in room 2.29 (HD–HN) and room 2.19 (HO–HV and HX 1–HX 3).

Books on Media Studies and on Comparative Literature and Linguistics:
On the second floor (2. OG) in room 2.29, call numbers starting with AP and EC–EZ, respectively.

Current, unbound journal issues:
On the ground floor (EG) to the right of the entrance area in room 0.42B (EA, EQ, HC).

Bound journals:
On the ground floor (EG) to the left of the entrance area in room 0.06-0.09 (EA, EQ, HC).

Library of the Centre for British Studies

Literature on History and Politics, Economy and Law, Cultural and Art History of Great Britain can be found in the Branch Library of the Centre for British Studies on the first floor (1.OG) of the August-Boeckh-Haus.

English and American Studies in the Jacob-und-Wilhelm-Grimm-Zentrum

Although no special research literature in English and American Studies is being collected in the Jacob-und-Wilhelm-Grimm-Zentrum, you will find both the textbook collection there as well as literature acquired before 2009. Books are arranged according to the Regensburg Classification Scheme.

Textbook collection (EG, Area A): The collection contains multiple copies of basic introductory works and textbooks (including language course materials). These books can be borrowed by students of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.

Books on English and American Studies (3. OG, Area B): General handbooks and works of fiction in German translations (acquired prior to 2009).
