Subject Holdings of Classical Archaeology

Subject holdings at the Branch Library of Classical Archaeology

You will find current research literature as well as historical books on the subject of Classical Archaeology at the Branch Library of Classical Archeology.

The collection consists of current and old literature for research and teaching. It covers not only books on the history of Archaeology, General Art History, Ancient Painting, Ancient Decorative Arts, Ancient Sculpture, and the Topography of the Graeco-Roman Antiquity, but also works on Mythology, Religious History, and Classical Receptions, as well as modern editions of Ancient Sources.

The holdings are available in open shelves across several floors. The materials are shelved in accordance with a classification system similar to the one used by the German Archeological Institute (DAI).

The periodicals collection can be found on open shelves in a separate room.
