Studying On-Site

Cloakroom

Please store jackets, rucksacks and bags before using the library. At the library entrance, lockers in different sizes are available for use with your own padlock (bolt diameter 5-6 mm). Usage of the lockers overnight is not permitted. All lockers will be opened after the library has closed.

Work stations

The library has 140 workstations, including 18 PC workstations with internet access (6 for standing and 8 for sitting). Four workstations are wheelchair-accessible.

Wi-Fi is available throughout the building for members of the HU. Members of other scientific institutions can use the WiFi network eduroam, provided that their home institution participates in the eduroam project as well.

Please contact the Computer and Media Service for information about the Wi-Fi network at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin as well as for setup assistance.

Study carrels

The library provides 4 study carrels for exam and doctoral candidates of the Humboldt-Universität. Application forms can be received at the information desk. The maximum period of use is 6 weeks.

Book trolleys

Ten lockable book trolleys are available to doctoral students and guest researchers. Application forms are available at the counter. The period of use is one semester.

Literature research

The library's search portal Primus lists the literature of the Theology Branch Library almost completely. An exception is the historical stock of the faculty library until 1945 and the GDR period, which is listed in additional card catalogues.

Group work area

Two group work rooms with 6 or 16 workstations are available on the ground floor and the 3rd floor. Reservations can be made via notices outside the room.

Copy, print, scan

On the floors you will find 2 copy rooms with 2 scanners without charge. There is also a MensaCard recharging machine in the building.
