In this branch library it is allowed to bring in jackets and bags - but no food or drink (exception: water in transparent bottles). As an option, at the library entrance 189 lockers are available for use with your own padlock with diameter 5–6 mm.
94 work stations, most of them with plug-ins for power supply, among them 20 public workstations with internet access. Internet access with a Computer and Media Service (CMS) account, WiFi for HU members resp. via Eduroam.
2 rooms for group study with 8 resp. 4 seats. To reserve the room on the first floor, please turn to our information desk in person or by phone: +49 30 2093-12377. In the room on the second floor, please enter your reservation in the calender on the table yourself. Both rooms may be reserved for a maximum of 2 hours per meeting. Due to the pandemic, the group study rooms can unfortunately not be used at the moment, as they cannot be ventilated.
7 study carrels with plug-ins for power supply, available for students and visiting scholars of the Departments of Romance studies, Slavic and Hungarian Studies, English and American Studies and the Centre for British Studies.

A book scanner and a scan tent are available on 1st floor, both free of charge.

The usage is intuitive. All you need is your smartphone and any scanner app (quick start guide for Android and iOS, in German only). Position your smartphone on the tray at the top and place a book or document in the tent. The device ensures the optimal viewing angle and consistent distance. The LED ring illuminates your texts perfectly.

Children's books, toys (please ask at the counter), colouring books and crayons, bean bags and low tables. Unfortunately, in this branch library we can not offer you a separate room.
