Workstations

Each of our six reading rooms has its own unique charm. In the ‘Stufenlesesaal’ (room 2.07), the history of the library building as a former chemical institute is reflected in the wall design featuring the periodic table. Reading Room C (room 2.26) offers a beautiful view of the city. The newly furnished Reading Room B (room 1.07A) impresses with its gallery and various types of work areas.

The somewhat cosier reading niches (located on the staircase side of the book collections) also offer workstations where you can work together with other library users. In contrast, the large book collection rooms have individual workstations separated by privacy screens at the windows (garden side) for a good work environment.

The digital learning area on the ground floor (room 0.42B) offers seats with comprehensive privacy screens, ensuring a low-stimulus work environment.

Computer Workstations

Twelve workstations are equipped with a PC with authenticated internet access. These can be found as PC area on the ground floor (in the foyer opposite the information desk and in room 0.42A) and a single PC is found in the book collection rooms.

Additional Screens

In addition, there are approximately 190 workstations equipped with additional screens to which you can connect your own device. An HDMI cable is provided. Additional cables and adapters (Mac, USB-C, etc.) can be borrowed from the information desk on the ground floor.

Special Workstations

In addition, the Campus Nord Branch Library has one electronically height-adjustable workstation (on the ground floor) and two further height-adjustable workstations in Reading Rooms A (room 1.20) and C (room 2.26), as well as a family room  (room 2.27).
