Homezone

During the exam period, certain areas are reserved exclusively for HU members. Please refer to the current notices for the areas affected and exact time periods.

Cloakroom

There is no general requirement to use the cloakroom at the Campus Nord Branch Library. 

Lockers are still available for storing your bags, jackets and coats. To use the lockers, you will need your own padlock with a shackle thickness of 5 mm to 6 mm. Padlocks can also be borrowed for one day from the information desk (limited number of locks available).


Toilets

There are toilets on every floor of the Campus Nord Branch Library (on the ground floor: opposite security, on the 1st and 2nd floors next to the reading lounges). On the ground floor there is also an accessible toilet (all gender) with baby changing facilities.

Lockable Book Trolleys

Members of Humboldt-Universität can use one of the five lockable book trolleys for a period of one month. An extension is possible if there are no reservations.

Vending Machine for Stationery

You can purchase library bags from our vending machine for stationery. You can also obtain secure padlocks to use the lockers in the cloakroom and other items such as whiteboard markers, USB sticks, erasers and hygiene products. The stationery vending machine only accepts card payments (no cash).

Vending Machines for Drinks and Snacks

Next to the vending machine for stationery, there is a vending machine for drinks (coffee and cold drinks) and a vending machine for snacks. These vending machines only accept coins.

At the Campus Nord Branch Library, you can borrow various adapters for using the additional screens in the building, as well as mice, keyboards and other cables. You can also borrow whiteboard sets, accessories (HDMI cables, remote controls and smart pens) for using the smartboards in the group study rooms, and laptop stands and adjustable standing desk converters. Simply ask to borrow these items at the information desk.
