Customer Support at the Service Desk

Our colleagues and library service assistants at the service desk are happy to help you find and fetch books or with any questions about using our library services. We also offer special fetching services: You can send us a list of the media you would like to consult, we are happy to fetch them for you to collect on an appointed date. Please do not hesitate to ask for assistance.

Accessibility Parking

There are two accessible parking spaces in the front court of the library. You can access them from the gate at Hessische Straße. Once you have approached the gate barrier, please ring the bell to contact our security team via the telephone system. The security team is available during our opening hours.

Entrance

The entrance to our library is accessible via ramp. The left of our three entrance doors has button-assisted opening. There is a bell to reach our security team to the left of the entrance.

Cloakrooms and Lockers

In the atrium you can find twelve wheelchair accessible lockers. To reserve one of these lockers for a longer period of time, please approach our staff at the service desk. You are not required to leave coats and bags in the lockers, you can take them into the library.

Lift

The lift in the library foyer has buttons labelled with braille.

Adjustable Desk

There are two hight-adjustable and wheelchair accessible desks in the library, one on the ground floor (room 0.32A) and one on the second floor (room 2.26). Please ask our colleagues at the service desk for more information.

Accessible Toilets

There is an accessible toilet with an alarm system on the ground floor to the left of the central stair case. Please ask our colleagues at the service desk for help with the doors.

Self-Loan Machines

The two self-loan machines in the foyer of our library are hight-adjustable and wheelchair accessible.
