The reading room of the University Archive will be reopened from 01.07.2020 with shortened opening hours and limited space. Precondition for use is a confirmed written registration and the compliance with the necessary hygiene measures.

After several weeks of closure to protect against the spread of COVID-19, the reading room of the University Archive of the Humboldt-Universität will be reopened from 01.07.2020. This means that limited use of the University Archive will be possible again, provided that hygiene measures are observed.

Our opening hours are limited to until further notice:

 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday  10:00 - 14:00 h

In order to comply with the distance rules, the number of places available in the reading room is reduced to 3 per day. Therefore, use is only possible after written confirmation of your appointment. Reading places will be assigned in the order in which the registration is received.

Personal consultation is currently not possible for contact protection reasons. The order for the files must be made in writing before the visit.

Use is only possible if the rules of distance and hygiene are observed. Please observe the hygiene instructions hung up in the entrance area. It is strongly recommended that you wear a mouth and nose protector that you have brought with you. The recreation room with catering machines will remain closed for the time being.

Any loosening of the rules will be carried out in accordance with Berlin state regulations.
